About the Journal

Journal of Islamic Economic and Business Research (JIEBR) is published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The journal is issued biannually every June and December.

As an Indonesian peer-reviewed refereed journal, JIEBR aims to engage academicians and practitioners to disseminate the scholarly works in the area of Islamic Economics written in English. The focus and scope of this journal include Islamic Economics, Islamic Philanthropy, Halal Industry, Islamic Finance, and Islamic Business Management.

Before submitting a manuscript, the author must ensure that it follows the JIEBR Template for Submission, and it is mandatory to edit and proofread the manuscript following the JIEBR Author Guidelines. 

JIEBR is published in collaboration with Sharia Economics Lecturer Association (Asosiasi Dosen Ekonomi Syariah or ADESy).

Announcement of Article Processing Charge (APC) Implementation Starting November 1, 2024

We hereby announce that the Journal of Islamic Economics and Business Research (JIEBR) will implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 1.500.000/$I00 USD for all manuscripts submitted starting November 1, 2024, and accepted for publication. This APC covers the article publication process, including peer review, editing, layout formatting, and online distribution through open access. The APC will only be charged to manuscripts that are officially accepted by the editorial team. Please note that manuscripts submitted before November 2024 will not be subject to the APC if accepted for publication.

We encourage authors to take this information into consideration when planning to submit manuscripts to JIEBR after this date.
